SATB and soloist with piano accompaniment. This original composition, written by Larry R. Beebe and Barbara G Dykstra, is more than just a song. It is a story-line focusing upon keeping Christ in Christmas.
Through the Savior's Birth, life, atonement and resurrection, we were given an eternal gift. A gift for all mankind. Then, we might ask ourselves. "What gift could I give to our Savior, Jesus Christ."
A few years ago, in Arizona, there was a family that came up with a wonderful tradition. Often our gifts to the Savior are in blessing others and remembering to give the gift of ourselves.
As the family was gathered during home evening reading from St. Luke and discussing how they could become more focused this year to remember the reason for the season, father, then said, "I have an idea. As we have read tonight, sang the songs and talked about Christmas, the thought has come to my mind that the Savior is continually giving gifts to us."
